No, if you add isopropyl alcohol to a plant it will wilt and eventually die.

When a 10 percent alcohol solution is applied, the plant becomes stressed and, with a 25 percent alcohol solution, the plant dies. This can be useful if growth of the plant needs to be supressed, as is the case with many flowers. Once the flower gets larger, it wilts and loses its aesthetic value.

Please note that rubbing alcohol if applied without dilution can burn the plants. For this you need to make a spray solution of 1:10 dilution in water. First do a patch test on a leaf and then spray on the plant. Leave it for 4 to 5 hours and then rinse the plant with water.

Ethanol will stunt plant growth. Methanol will encourage plant growth. However, with ethanol alcohol, 5% concentrate stunts plant growth but at 10% it stresses your plant. 25% concentration will kill it. Isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) is the most appropriate. Besides, you can use it for far more. Like glass cleaning, or sterilizing anything, including your pruners and scissors.

Ethanol is your safest bet. It is actually considered miscible in water, or basically very soluble. You can consume it safely at the residual level, and it doesn't target waxes and pigments as strongly as isopropyl alcohol. I've spent the last 7 months heavily researching cryo-ethanol extraction for the hemp facility where I'm the production manager.
