OXXO has sold alcohol for years....but not sure about your request. Most all stores have it behind the cashier's counter...so ask... they might surprise you! They have some nice wine selections too...tough to get anything however right after Christmas/;New Year's...as they are out and waiting for the next shipment.

Doesn't effect bar or restaurant sales, but grocery stores, tiendas and wine shops can be different depending on location. Try to make those purchases on any day but a Sunday.

We were there last month and yes, they do sell liquor! We stopped there for that same reason. Very convenient!
