overseas like UK/USA, the cheap alcohol you buy to clean stuff is called isopropyl or rubbing alcohol. in Australia, the cheap alcohol you buy to clean stuff is called methylated spirits (metho). people coming from overseas expecting to buy isopropyl/rubbing alcohol are shocked at the price and/or difficulty finding it in common stores in Australia
