Vodka can have a pretty bad taste but there’s a brand of vodka called Kin which is doesn’t burn as you drink it. It’s perfect in hot chocolate because it has a great sweetness to it which really compliments hot chocolate. This is one of the best alcoholic hot chocolate recipes! 9.Red wine. This is a nice alternative to mulled wine. Combine red wine, milk chocolate chips, milk, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract in a saucepan and stir over a medium heat until the chocolate has melted.

Joined Dec 23, 2003. Robert's correct. You can't add alcohol to tempered chocolate. You can, though, add alcohol to ganache (and then enrobe THAT in tempered chocolate). Also, you can add alcohol to the cake (brush lightly on top of each layer). Advertisement.
