Twisted is a brand that I’ve come to trust as a generally good bargain brand. The Twisted wines that I’ve tasted aren’t mind-blowing, but they’re OK. And if you’re on a tight budget, you might say they’re great.

It’s been close to 3 years since we’ve reviewed Twisted’s 2005 Old Vine Zinfandel. It represented a great value back then at it’s $6.99 price tag, but it didn’t get our nod for top zinfandel under $20. In the main a very good experience. When i first enquired about stock some months ago i was informed it was coming in but not clear as to when. i asked to be emailed when they had stock and this did not happen. When revisiting the website and finding the wine in stock, the communication was very good and the delivery was very quick.

The tasting room was welcoming and comfortable and the lady pouring the samples was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were decent and really did have a twist - the Cherry Jumper had an actual cherry floating in it! While their list seemed to be missing a sweet white option, what they did offer were pleasant.

I Cannot believe I have never reviewed Twisted Vine, I AM THERE ALL THE TIME! This is my favorite spot in Orange County, they have amazing wine and their baked brie is to die for! Other greats on the food menu are the flatbread, the cheese platter and the sweet nuts. I love shopping for wine right off of the shelf!
