Keurig may be known primarily for its single-serve machines, but some of their coffee makers can brew up a whole pot. They can still give you a single cup when you want it—often in less than a minute—but offer more flexibility for entertaining and meetings.

Select a K-Carafe® pod and place it firmly in the Pod Holder. Please be sure that the number in the circle is at 9 o’clock when inserting. Then, lower the Handle. The brewer will recognize the inserted K-Carafe® pod and optimize to the recommended, customized setting for that particular beverage.

Keurig K-Cups are little pre-packaged, freshly ground coffee pods. Keurig lovers can find K-Cups for just about any type of coffee they prefer, no matter the roast, blend, origin, or flavoring. The device uses small needles to puncture pods of coffee sealed with plastic and nitrogen, with coffee then brewed with a quick stream of hot water.

For safety reasons, we designed Keurig carafes to sync with the Keurig® 2.0 brewer to ensure as best we could that when you put in a carafe pod it can safely brew the volume of coffee that will be delivered. Therefore, you will not be able to brew a carafe without the Keurig® 2.0 Carafe or Thermal Carafe.

We no longer attempt to brew a full pot (4-5 cups). Of course, the brewer ought to allow you to select the number of cups that you want, but as I have said earlier, this behavior demonstrates that Keurig has a firmware problem that they need to address.
