Igloo drink coolers are primarily designed to keep beverages cold, but some of their products are capable of keeping drinks like coffee, water, and cocoa hot. Make sure to use a cooler approved for hot liquids. Carefully pour the beverage into the cooler, protecting yourself from hot splashes.

Very hot water may damage more than just the plastic lining. The first time I used my Rubbermaid 10 gallon, the plastic warped badly, but worked fine for awhile longer. However, about six months after that, I dropped in some 190 degree water to preheat and heard a loud crack. The plastic was fine, but I suspect something happened to the insulation.

Depends on what you are planning on doing. If you are batch sparging you can do what I have done in the past and use a converted Igloo cooler with a SS braid. While that is mashing, I would heat up the sparge water in my boil kettle and just dump it into a spare cooler to keep it hot. This way I only needed one pot and no HLT.

While you can put a pan or Tupperware with these items in a cooler they can become messy if the cooler is tipped to far and they spill. To avoid this mess and still achieve keeping the food warm in the cooler it is recommended to put the soup or dip in thermoses and then place them in the cooler along side any other food you may be trying to keep warm.

Yes, that will keep it warm all day. Do you need to keep it in temper or just warm and melted? Temper is possible, but would take more attention.

The only revealed answer to the question of why hot drinks (interpreted at present as coffee and tea) are prohibited by the Word of Wisdom is "because God told us they are." Faithful members of the Church accept the revelations recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants as scripture, as sustained by a personal witness of the Holy Spirit.
