So in simple words, alcohol can be consumed during ketosis. However, some basic things should be kept in mind. Drinking alcohol does not throw you out of ketosis but it impacts the rate of ketosis.

The answer would be no to anyone whom is just starting out in keto. Or someone who let’s say had a cheat day…yeah that person. They wouldn’t be recommended to consume alcohol. Alcohol is absorbed by the kidneys.

Drink keto friendly alcoholic beverages and cocktails only. Don’t eat food while drinking alcohol, even keto foods aren’t advised. Drink water with your alcohol to not get dehydrated. But you don’t have to give up carbs or alcohol completely even when on keto.
