I think you're smart to crunch the numbers on the Disney Dining Plan.On some of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations the Disney Dining Plan made sense but on others, it did not. All of the Disney Dining Plans now include an alcoholic beverage (where available) for adults age 21 and older.

Can I get the Disney Dining Plan if I buy my park tickets from an authorized reseller or other vendor? No. You have to buy all three components as a package: room, Dining Plan, and park tickets. NOTE: Members of the U.S. Military can purchase the Disney Dining Plan even if they buy their park tickets separately on their base.

You get the credits listed above for each night of your trip. All of the credits are loaded to your account at once and can be used however you’d like during your trip (you could use 6 credits 1 day, 2 the following day, etc.). As of 2018, single-serving specialty drinks are now included as part of the Disney Dining Plan. Guests under 21 can choose one non-alcoholic specialty beverage with their meal, while guests ages 21+ can choose either a non-alcoholic specialty beverage (if available) OR a single-serving alcoholic drink with their meal.
