Alcohol leaches out oils, so you should restore oil to the leather by rubbing it into your sweaty palm. Applying bulk oil usually results in too much, and a darker appearance than original. Rubbing your own skin oil applies it slowly so you have better control over the result, IMO.

Leather should be cleaned regularly. First, use a soft cloth or microfiber cloth to dust the surface. To remove spots from leather, dip a cotton swab into rubbing alcohol and rub the spot. This can work for removing ink spots, as well.

You can also use alcohol to clean your leather. To remove the spots from your leather jacket or sofa, soak a cotton ball in the rubbing alcohol. Rub this cotton ball onto the leather to remove the spots. If the spots are not removed properly then you can use non-oily cuticle remover (Avoid nail polish remover).

Rubbing alcohol is an excellent glass cleaner and it often works even better than traditional ammonia-based glass cleaners such as Windex. If you’re ever in a bind and you need a quick, efficient, and safe way to clean your windows or other surfaces, rubbing alcohol is the perfect alternative to clean your glass.
