Similarly one may ask, is it safe to use rubbing alcohol on hardwood floors? So let's just agree that when it comes to cleaning wood or laminate floors, no vinegar. YES ALCOHOL. Alcohol is a fantastic cleaning product — rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol, even gin or vodka. Mix this up in a spray bottle each time you clean the floors.

We'll care for your hardwood floors and home like they are our own. Similarly, can you use rubbing alcohol to clean laminate floors? Give laminate floors the royal treatment with a thrifty trifecta of household cleaners. Spray a solution of equal parts water, rubbing alcohol, and vinegar over the entire floor. Mop it up to remove dirt, stains, and pet hair, leaving you with a like-new high-gloss finish.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm talking about and your mileage may vary, etc. Bad alcohol damage to my finished hardwood floors. Fixed it with Scotch Brite cleaning pads (the ones with yellow sponge on one side and abrasive, dark green pad on the other) and Old English Oil (any furniture oil or paste wax would probably work).

If you do use rubbing alcohol in place of vodka make sure the area is well ventilated. You can use any of the hardwood cleaner solutions mentioned minus the polishing ideas on any of your hard surface flooring. Vinegar, however cannot be used on tile floors if they are made of natural stone.

i have unfinished hardwood floors and they said not to use rubbing alcohol it will deteriate the wood, I used 1 tbsp mayonnaise 1 tbsp olive oil &1 tbsp lemon juice. I have dogs leaving footprints on my wood floor due to bad weather, making your house not clean. mix all together–the oils in the mayonnaise and olive oil absorb the lemon juice, the oils make a cushion around the lemon juice.
