The next step is to clean the board with a dry cloth to remove any other loosely bound matter. In the third step, one takes a dry cotton cloth, wets it with isopropyl alcohol and gently rubs it on the PCB surface. The fourth step is the waiting period during which the remaining alcohol on the board evaporates in the air leaving behind a clean PCB.

Alternatively, spot clean your circuit board with isopropyl alcohol. You’ll need to dip a cotton swab into the alcohol, then wipe away the spots of grime. Let the alcohol dry for an hour or so before trying to use your circuit board. Remember that if you’re cleaning circuit boards that are connected to a computer or other appliance, turn the power off completely before you start.

90%+ anhydrous/rubbing alcohol. Lint-free towel/microfiber cloth. Wet your brush with rubbing alcohol and scrub the circuit board gently with your brush until the solder flux begins to disappear. Once you’re satisfied with the look of your circuit board, dab it with a small towel or microfiber cloth.

How do you clean battery corrosion off a circuit board? Corrosion on the circuit board can eventually damage it to the point where it will stop working. If you find any battery-related residue on the circuit board, clean it up with cotton swabs with white vinegar, then follow up with isopropyl alcohol, and clean it the way you’d normally clean a circuit board.
