These include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sale is acceptable on election day. Retailers may sell alcohol on Sundays if voters in a county approve. Liquor stores can only sell alcohol between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Effective on the above date, alcohol sales may begin at 8 a.m.

Sunday packaged liquor (off-premises) sales are legal in 7 counties: Oklahoma, Tulsa, Cleveland, Creek, Kingfisher, Muskogee and Washington. Counties can approve Sunday liquor sales through a special election. Sales also are prohibited on Thanksgiving Day (United States) and Christmas Day.

Oklahoma County residents handily approved a ballot measure March 3 allowing local liquor stores to be open on Sundays. Voters in six other counties also approved a similar measure allowing Sunday liquor sales in their areas. Those counties are: Cleveland, Kingfisher, Creek, Muskogee, Washington and Tulsa.

You can buy beer on Sundays, the only catch is that can’t buy it at a liquor store, so that only leaves the options of the 3.2% ABW beer that you can get in grocery stores and gas stations, or you can also go to any bar that is open on Sunday.
