All Coles Liquor stores including Vintage Cellars, Liquorland, First Choice and Liquor Market will be closed on Christmas Day. Stores will open once again on Boxing Day and New Year's Day in NSW.

NSW has strict laws on alcohol sales on Xmas and Good Friday, which boil down to the following: absolutely no takeaway alcohol, and licensed venues can only serve on premises from midday-10pm.

Coles (including Coles Liquor stores) and Woolworths stores are closed Christmas Day. Coles stores are generally open Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Most Dan Murphy’s and BWS liquor stores will be open on Christmas Eve from 9am until 9pm. Select BWS stores, including Bondi Junction in NSW and QV in Melbourne’s CBD, will stay open until 10pm.
